I can see an application for delicious having previously crashed my PC and lost all my cookies.
For technorati, I tried my area of specialty and did not find anything very relevant. It is probably more to follow something you know exists.

Did you have more luck with Google Blog Search? It's always useful to have people recommend a site I find ... just yesterday I learned about two new ones that are really interesting to me (basically how to avoid 'death by powerpoint' when doing presentations:
